HMRC warning on Fraudulent Emails

July 9, 2009 07:07

HMRC have sent out a warning of a fraudulent email going around that advises taxpayers that HMRC have “approved them to receive monies”. They have advised that this is a fraudulent email that should be deleted. HMRC would never inform taxpayers of a rebate via email.

We recommend that you do not open this email or visit any websites or links contained in it. If you have any questions about tax that may be owed to you, please contact us on 0800 856 2471.
